Our Team The PT TeL’s team is composed of the best of both international and local talent. Key personnel include expatriates with vast experience in the pulp and paper industry. PT TeL employs a policy of providing an extensive training program for all newly hired mill operators. Experts from Nippon Paper Industries are providing additional on-the-job training. Locally hired employees gain the experience and expertise to assume increased responsibilities for running the mill. Our Community Billion dollar deals, high-tech machinery, a railway, a port – but when all is said and done, we still consider our employees our most valuable asset and first priority. This is why we have taken every step to ensure a high quality of life for our PT TeL team. Around 1,000 employees and their immediate family live and work in our residential community and at our mill. Our township comes complete with a general store, a school, and a clinic. Our employees are also provided with places of worship. Recreational facilities include a swimming pool, tennis court and a soccer field. We have developed a completely independent community around our pulp mill. We support our team in their endeavors for a better life and future.
