The 9th Anniversary Celebration, Tribun Sumsel on Friday (2/7/2021) then carried out a series of activities ranging from blood donation social activities, thanksgiving to sarasehan. Sarasehan entitled “Mata Lokal Award” gave awards to 46 recipients consisting of BUMN, BUMD, Private and also Local Government including the Provincial Government of South Sumatra.

One of the private companies receiving the award is PT Tanjungenim Lestari Pulp and Paper (PT TEL) located in Muara Enim Regency with the category of Most Social and Environmentally Caring Companies.

Chairman of the Tribun Sumsel Anniversary Committee, Yahya Kurniawan said PT TEL deserves the award because the social and environmental concerns carried out by the company are very high and consistently provide assistance to the community in South Sumatra.

“The existence of social care conducted by PT TEL is not only in terms of capital and infrastructure but also the implementation of real activities until the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program that is rolled out successfully and can be emulated by other community groups,” said Yahya.
This Corporate Social Responsibility program also continues to encourage people-based businesses to continue to grow and progress even in the midst of pandemics.

President Director of PT TeL, Mr. Hiroyuki Moriyasu said that he are proud of receiving this award. We will continue to grow together with surrounding communities through good CSR activities.

The award is extraordinary and will be a benchmark for the company to remain concerned about the environment and social responsibility in Muara Enim regency and also South Sumatra province.
